Karina Lopez is a New York City Native who was born in the Bronx, raised in Queens and now resides in Spanish Harlem. She is a published author, performance poet, lyricist and educator. She has used the pseudonym Eleven Lopez in her lyrical works. She has been writing for over 15 years and started performing in the early 2000's. She went hiatus for a while as she finished her undergraduate degrees. She has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Education with a concentration in Creative Writing at the City College of New York. Some of the course Lopez's took included Advanced poetry, Publishing and Teaching techniques. She has been an educator for over 12 year years and continues to work with the youth.
She has published two books and has been published in various magazine and anthologies. Her works are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and iTunes.com. She is also a poetry workshop facilitator for teens in the Manhattan area. Her poetry workshops/open mics are called The Pen, The Pad and the Poet series.
